The Ballard Beavers beat the Long Island Ducks, 6-4. Ballard pitcher and Manteca, California, native Jeremy Foster led the way. Foster, now 4-4, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. Picking up his 8th save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Travis Davis.

José Ramírez took Long Island hurler Tamotsu Mizuno deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Beavers on top, 3-1. In all, Ramírez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
