Rams Need Extra Innings to Top Canucks, 8-7
The Moose Jaw Canucks and Ladue Rams provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Ladue Rams weathered a fine game by Moose Jaw left fielder Edgardo Castro to upend the Canucks, 8-7, at Foresters Stadium. Castro slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Enrique Oliva came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Scott Patterson came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Moose Jaw pitcher Rob Small, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ladue on top, 8-7.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Patterson.

With the win, the Rams have a record of 37-39.
