Sullivan Slugs Gators to 8-6 Win
The North Ft. Myers Gators defeated the Long Island Ducks, 8-6. First Baseman Randy Sullivan deserved a large share of the credit. Sullivan hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Gators. Armando Romero, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. John Christensen nailed down his 13th save.

Sullivan contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for North Ft. Myers in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Sullivan took a curveball from John Rowe and stroked the double to center. His 4th double of the season allowed the Gators to leap in front, 2-1.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Sullivan said.

North Ft. Myers's record now stands at 31-46, placing them 10th in the Menard's Low A.
