Interns Score 2-0 Win Over North Ft. Myers
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Capital Hill Interns and the North Ft. Myers Gators. Capital Hill won it, 2-0. Capital Hill starter Oscar Milledge was in command. The winning pitcher was Milledge, now 3-1. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. The Interns saw their record improve to 37-41.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Interns had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fifth, when third baseman Dean Breeuwer hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kyle Gale and made the score 2-0, Interns. Breeuwer went 1-4.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Milledge after the game.
