Snowpeople Reel Off Another Win
|
Ellesmere Island registered a win at Dylan Park by beating the Quebec City Baby Blues, 5-4. Pitcher Miguel Izabel was one reason why the Snowpeople triumphed. The winning pitcher was Izabel, now 3-7. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 11. The wins continue to add up for Ellesmere Island. The latest makes it 8 in a row.
Ellesmere Island used the hitting of Francisco Rosa to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Snowpeople on top, 5-0. For the game, Rosa had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Miguel kept his poise and got the job done," said Ellesmere Island manager Rodrige Margalha. "He was outstanding."
