The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish dealt the Long Island Ducks a 5-2 loss at Ducks Park. Nick Fortey, who is tied for 3rd in the 3A- in total bases with 122, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. Jack Jennings, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 17th save. Plattsburgh is now 52-26.

Fortey made an early impact for Plattsburgh when he stroked his 13th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Puffer Fish on top, 2-0.

"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Fortey.
