Pantoja Launches 2 Dingers, But Moose Jaw Wins
|
Despite a great performance by Ladue left fielder Ramón Pantoja, the Moose Jaw Canucks defeated the Rams by the score of 9-6 at Ballpark of Wellsville. Pantoja hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win belonged to Arjen Stenissen in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Javier Guzmán took the loss for Ladue. Yun Sha got credit for the save for Moose Jaw. It was his 6th of the year.
Moose Jaw took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Armando Sandoval hit a 2-run single to make it 7-5, Canucks.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Sandoval, "one at-bat at a time."
The win puts Moose Jaw at 29-50.
