Angel Kitties Earn Win with Late Rally
|
Bethlehem pitcher Flip Boele had a large part in his team subduing the Moose Jaw Canucks, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. In 8 innings, Boele surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Bethlehem has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Zhong-shu Wu came through with a big-time hit for Bethlehem. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bethlehem manager Zach Stafford said.
