Esquivel Leads Bethlehem to 3-0 Win
|
José Esquivel, who is tied for 7th in the 3A- in quality starts with 13, had a strong outing for the Bethlehem Angel Kitties against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Foresters Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-0 win. Earning his 9th save of the year was Flip Boele. The win elevated the Angel Kitties to 41-38.
Esquivel, a native of Lima, Peru, was dealing all game. He kept Moose Jaw hitters off-balance, while giving the Angel Kitties 7 quality innings. Esquivel threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Esquivel.
