Ducks Earn Late Win
The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Flint Park, knocking off the Flint Crush, 4-3. On the mound for Long Island was left-hander Jesús Hernández. He played a key role in the triumph. The win went to James Harrell in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Ken Leach took the loss. Tim Manning got the save, the 19th for him this season.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Terrence O'Loughlin? The 21-year old shortstop O'Loughlin stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Long Island up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Flint manager Michael Woodard.

The Ducks now own a record of 49-31.
