Ballard Earns 5-4 Win

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Ballard Beavers take on the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish.
Ballard catcher Alejandro Hernández was instrumental in helping the Beavers triumph, 5-4, over the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish. Hernández was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Lowell Nash earned his 24th save, after closing out the game.
Hernández had a timely hit for Ballard in the bottom of the eighth. With Ballard trailing 4-1, he turned a 2-2 slider into a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Ballard.
Ballard manager Giddy Potts commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
Ballard has a record of 46-34, placing them third in the Menard's Low A.
