Starting pitcher Brit Hughes gave the Quebec City Baby Blues a rock-solid effort. The Washington, District of Columbia native helped his team defeat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 2-0, at Dylan Park. Earning his 28th save for Quebec City was Andy Lewis. The Baby Blues bumped their record to 47-34 with this latest triumph.
North Ft. Myers had a runner on 2nd in the top of the eighth. With one out, Norm Peterson stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 2-0, Quebec City. The Gators never could mount a comeback.
