Harbor Whales Win 6-3 Nail-Biter Versus Baby Lakers
The Harbor Whales earned a hard-fought, 6-3 win in 14 innings at Ballpark of Robbins. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Bompton pitcher Zach Holland. Holland went 9 innings and allowed no runs. Greenport reliever Jorge Silva got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Jing-yu Xú was tagged with the loss. Greenport now sits at 37-45, while Bompton falls to 30-52.

Greenport got a knockout punch from Silvio van Biezen. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," van Biezen said.
