Angel Kitties Get Better of Snowpeople, 9-5
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties topped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 9-5, with youngster Esteban Jones playing a key role. Jones was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Angel Kitties in the win. Melchor Nalicat picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 4-7. Nico van Halteren finished the game for Bethlehem and earned his 1st save.
Making an impact for the home team was Carlos Dávila. In the bottom of the fifth, the 21-year old center fielder had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. That made the score 5-3, Angel Kitties.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Dávila.
At 39-44, the Angel Kitties claim 9th place in the Menard's Low A.
