Puffer Fish Earn 3-2 Road Win Over Ballard
|
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish earned a close win over the Ballard Beavers, thanks in part to Juan González. The Plattsburgh left-hander, who leads the 3A- in wins with 8, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Il-hwan Kim notched his 16th save of the season. Plattsburgh now owns a record of 42-41.
Ted Cunningham found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the ninth. Facing Ballard hurler Tanner Davis, the 21-year-old pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly. His 5th RBI of the season put the Puffer Fish on top, 3-2.
"Both teams played hard," said Plattsburgh manager Allen Carlson.
