Ballard Beavers starter Brian Jackson turned in a top-notch performance against the Napanee Express at The Beaver Dam. The result was a win for the Beavers, 4-2. Jackson, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. Earning his 25th save of the year was Lowell Nash.

Roy Hill dealt the Express a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Ballard leading 1-0, Hill, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2060 draft, hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

"I felt good up there," said Hill. "I saw the ball well."

The 4th-place Beavers are 47-36.
