Dubreuil, Ducks Clobber Interns, 10-1

A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Pierre Dubreuil, who is tied for 5th in the 3A- with a .528 slugging percentage, led the Long Island Ducks to a win over the Capital Hill Interns, 10-1. Howard Chard, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-1. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Picking up his 1st save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jing-quo Hark.
With Long Island leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Dubreuil hit a run-scoring single off Capital Hill hurler Won-u Yi. It was the 71st hit of the season for Dubreuil and put his team ahead, 2-0.
"Nothing to write home about," Capital Hill manager Kyu-cheol P'yo said, when asked afterward about the game.
The Ducks now have a record of 46-37 with the win over Capital Hill.
