Greenport turned a good effort from starter Fernando Rodríguez into a win over the North Ft. Myers Gators at Dodge Field. The final score was 5-2. The loss makes North Ft. Myers 33-50.
Greenport got a big at-bat from Munich, Germany native Rak Kuhn, who in the top of the first hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Harbor Whales ahead, 2-0.
"Fernando's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Mike Brown, the Harbor Whales manager.
