The 3-hit performance of Scott Patterson, who is tied for 5th in the 3A- in total bases with 160, helped the Maine Sea Dogs beat the Napanee Express, 3-1. Picking up the win was Patrick Cook. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. The Sea Dogs are now 51-32.

Patterson contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Maine in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Patterson took a sinker from Ed Cunningham and stroked the home run to left. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Sea Dogs to leap in front, 2-1.

"Scott raked," said Maine manager Pedro Hernández.
