The Napanee Express downed the Ogallala Octopi, 8-0, at Paints Ballpark. The Express were led by Iván Galindo. Galindo slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Trevor Park got the win, improving to 6-1. He worked 6 innings, giving up no runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Scott Starr collected his 1st save.
With Napanee leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Galindo hit a slider from António Calderón for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Express ahead, 3-0.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Galindo told the Napanee Citizen.
The Express, at 51-34, have now won 4 straight.
