Gators Fall, 11-4, to Olthuis, Snowpeople
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople topped the North Ft. Myers Gators, 11-4, with shortstop Adri Olthuis playing a big role. Olthuis went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Snowpeople in the win. Bob Ryan, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A- in RBI with 59, was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was Chris Pate. With the win over North Ft. Myers, the Snowpeople improved to 45-41.

With Ellesmere Island leading 6-0 in the bottom of the second, Olthuis batted against North Ft. Myers pitcher Juan Cruz. Olthuis hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Snowpeople on top, 9-0.

"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Olthuis.
