The Napanee Express did just enough to sneak past the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 3-2, at Paints Ballpark. Napanee pitcher Vincent Wood, in particular, had a standout performance. The win was credited to 19-year old left-handed pitcher Scott Bates in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Luis Mexa took the loss. Scot Dixon finished the game for Napanee and earned his 2nd save.

Aarão Marreiros helped out the Napanee cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Napanee manager Dan Bond.
