Capital Hill Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Capital Hill Interns defeated the Moose Jaw Canucks, 3-2. Doing his part was right fielder Jack Grimes, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Won-u Yi picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Arturo Pérez suffered the loss. At 32-55, Capital Hill is in last place in the Menard's Low A.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Grimes hit a splitter from Arturo Pérez for a solo home run. The Interns, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Grimes.
