Gordon Rips 2 Home Runs in 4-2 Ducks Triumph
|
Derek Gordon knocked in all 4 runs for the Long Island Ducks, helping them beat the Quebec City Baby Blues, 4-2. Curley Martha, the winning pitcher, is now 5-6. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 7. Long Island, at 44-45, sits in 7th place in the Menard's Low A.
With Long Island leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Gordon hit a curveball from Chip Beatty for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Ducks ahead, 4-1.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Gordon said.
