|
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish earned a close win over the Moose Jaw Canucks, thanks in part to Lou Bancroft. The Plattsburgh right-hander, who leads the 3A- in wins with 12, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Derek MacIntosh locked down his 6th save. The win makes Plattsburgh 57-32.
Bancroft's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 5 hits. Bancroft, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A- in quality starts with 17, goes to 12-4 on the year with 133 strikeouts.
"We take it day by day here," said Bancroft, "and today was a good one for us."
