Miranda goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Ducks Offense
The Long Island Ducks beat the Ladue Rams, 8-4, at Ballpark of Wellsville. The win was due in part to designated hitter Pedro Miranda, who was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Jesús Hernández picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 1. On the season, he is now 8-5. Terry Scott got credit for the save for Long Island. It was his 12th of the year.

Miranda got the Ducks off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Miranda.
