In a tight contest at Field of the Browns, the Quebec City Baby Blues edged the Bompton Baby Lakers by the score of 5-4. Quebec City first baseman Anamol Vishwamber, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Wendel Loovens picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-4. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. At 54-36, the Baby Blues claim third place in the Menard's Low A.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Fernando Salinas? The top prospect Salinas stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Quebec City up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
