Angel Kitties Suffer 5-2 Road Loss
|
Ballard pitcher Bruce Campbell had a large part in his team beating the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner was Campbell. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Joaquín Peña. The win puts Ballard at 53-37 this season.
Ballard third baseman Jude Riley landed a blow when he belted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 6th home run of the season. With it, the Beavers took a 5-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Riley said after the game.
