The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople beat the Moose Jaw Canucks, 9-4, at Foresters Stadium. Adri Olthuis, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Canucks, at 32-59, have lost 4 in a row.

Ellesmere Island used a well-timed hit by Don Prince to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Snowpeople ahead, 6-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Olthuis told the Ellesmere Island Observer.
