The Moose Jaw Canucks, behind a great outing from Adam Blackwell defeated the Long Island Ducks, 3-1, at Foresters Stadium. Blackwell, the winner, moves to 8-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 2 walks. Salvador Márquez notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
The Canucks got a big at-bat from first baseman Dan Griffin. For the game, Griffin was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Moose Jaw a 2-0 lead.
