Moose Jaw and Ellesmere Island got after it at Foresters Stadium.

In a low-scoring contest between the Moose Jaw Canucks and the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 20-year old left-handed pitcher José Juárez proved to be the difference. The Moose Jaw left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Canucks win. Moose Jaw is now 33-59, while Ellesmere Island is 39-53.

Torvald Melsert had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Moose Jaw. With the bases loaded and the Canucks leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Canucks manager Ismael Barrios. "This one was nice to get."
