Gators Lose, 4-1, as Beavers Rally
|
Ballard pitcher Manny Cruz did his part in helping his team beat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Stewart Holman recorded his 3rd save for Ballard. The Gators, now 34-58, have lost 4 straight.
In the top of the eighth, 20-year old left fielder Alain Bernard delivered for Ballard. That's when he belted a 3-run home run, putting the Beavers up, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a climactic one.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Ballard manager Giddy Potts.
