|
Bethlehem Angel Kitties starter Lee Kennedy turned in a sparkling performance against the Greenport Harbor Whales, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Kennedy yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-2. Flip Boele got the save, the 12th for him this season.
Making an impact for the home team was Lawrence Woodward. In the bottom of the third, the 22-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-0, Angel Kitties.
"Lee gave us everything he had," said Bethlehem manager Miguel Martínez.
The Angel Kitties improved to 47-46.
