Flanderses Tag Baby Lakers with 4-2 Loss
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Hudsonville Flanderses got the win.
The Hudsonville Flanderses picked up a win at Field of the Browns, taking down the Bompton Baby Lakers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jesús Bojórquez was a big reason why. Bojórquez got the win, improving to 10-8. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
Hudsonville used a big swing from Pedro Blanca to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flanderses up, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
In postgame comments, Blanca told the Hudsonville Daily News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
With the win, Hudsonville goes to 51-42, while the Baby Lakers fall to 44-49.
