Pitcher Silas Clark was sensational for the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Ladue Rams. Clark earned the win. The winning pitcher was Clark, now 2-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 6. R.J. Farrell nailed down his 1st save.
The Snowpeople got a big hit from catcher Jon Rosenberry. Facing Ladue pitcher Ernesto Chávez in the bottom of the fifth, Rosenberry pounded a 2-run home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season put the Snowpeople ahead, 2-0.
Rosenberry said his team "executed a good game plan."
Ellesmere Island is 9th in the Menard's Low A with a record of 40-55.
