The Bompton Baby Lakers defeated the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 7-4, in M3L Low A action at Plattsburgh Park. Bompton pitcher Daniel Valdés had a standout performance. Valdés, now 4-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Menno van der Kooij recorded the save, his 6th.

Bompton took a 7-2 lead on José Torrez's 16th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Torrez hit in the top of the seventh, left Plattsburgh pitcher Michael Andrews visibly frustrated.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Valdés told a Bompton Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
