Ramón Cesina pitched a gem to lead Greenport to victory over the Maine Sea Dogs, 1-0. Cesina yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0. Miguel Ortíz earned his 25th save, after closing out the game.
The Harbor Whales got a big at-bat from catcher An-shi Li. For the game, Li was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Greenport a 1-0 lead.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Cesina.
The third-place Harbor Whales have won 4 in a row.
