The Northwest Territory Beavers and Moose Jaw Canucks squared off at Foresters Stadium.
Elijah Smalls made an impact in the 6-3 Northwest Territory win over Moose Jaw. Smalls, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. Ismael Riddles Jr. earned the save, his 4th, for the Beavers.
With a runner on 1st and one out in the top of the eighth inning, designated hitter Clancy Hendricks delivered big for the Beavers. Northwest Territory was trailing 3-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker.
Northwest Territory is now 59-36.
