Canucks Raise Rally Flag, Beat Greenport, 4-2
|
Moose Jaw Canucks starter Fjodor Ishemgujin turned in an exceptional performance against the Greenport Harbor Whales at Ballpark of Robbins, resulting in a Moose Jaw win, 4-2. Horácio Kaisin, now 4-2, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Ángel Vega earned the save for Moose Jaw, his 5th.
Moose Jaw used a clutch hit from Ze-dong Jen to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Canucks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Jen said after the game.
The 10th-place Harbor Whales dropped to 39-56.
