Báez Pops Two Homers in 8-5 Win for MSL Northern Virginia
The 2063 season did not get off to quite the start the MSL Colorado Billy Goats had hoped, with an opening day loss to the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at MSL Colorado Ballpark. The final score was 8-5. First Baseman Diego Báez was the top performer for MSL Northern Virginia. Sean Littrell collected his 1st save.

The Rainbow Mermaids got a gift in the top of the first inning, when they were leading 2-0. With two out and the bases loaded, Kenshin Higashi reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-0, MSL Northern Virginia.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Higashi.
