Thanks in large part to third baseman Buddy van Adrichem, the MSL Hollywood Shredders beat the MSL Toledo Stingers, 7-1. van Adrichem went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Sung-heun Kim, who went 8.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 1-0. The win gives MSL Hollywood a record of 1-1.
In the top of the sixth, van Adrichem put his team in front with his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which came against Raúl López, made it 2-1, MSL Hollywood.
"Buddy was ready to go. Big day for him," said MSL Hollywood manager Ricardo López.
