MSL Boston left fielder Dane Kennedy contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the MSL Long Island Lighthouse. Kennedy, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Patriots. Travis Farmer came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The victory makes MSL Boston 1-1.

Had Salvador Silva not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Silva hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Patriots.

"We ground out the win," said Kennedy. "That's all that matters."
