Kingfishers Handle Shredders, Nab 2-1 Win
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers and MSL Hollywood Shredders.
In a low-scoring contest, MSL Pittsburgh pitcher Oscar Smith was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Smith picked up the win for MSL Pittsburgh, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Kelile Sassi earned the save for MSL Pittsburgh, his 1st.
Cheuk-yan Loong had a direct impact on the outcome. Loong contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put MSL Pittsburgh up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said MSL Hollywood manager Ricardo López. "Tough one to swallow."
MSL Hollywood drops to 2-1.
