Stingers Shut Out Shredders, 5-0
|
The MSL Toledo Stingers stopped the MSL Hollywood Shredders, 5-0, at MSL Toledo Ballpark. The Stingers got a big game from Kyushichi Suzuki, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Robin Cecchini, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. With the win, MSL Toledo elevates its record to 4-0.
One pivotal at-bat came with two out in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded and MSL Hollywood trailing 5-0, Alberto Ramírez needed to bear down against Bobby Rush. Ramírez won the battle, as Rush struck out and the Stingers went on to win.
