Baseball fans saw a good contest between the MSL New Orleans Voodoo and MSL Toronto Thunder.

The MSL New Orleans Voodoo did just enough to sneak past the MSL Toronto Thunder, 5-4, at MSL Thunder Ballpark. MSL New Orleans pitcher Yuan Chia, in particular, had a standout performance. MSL New Orleans reliever Wilfred Pope picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Michael Duffy was tagged with the loss.

MSL New Orleans used the timely hitting of Gao Guang to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

MSL New Orleans manager Bill Richmond commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

MSL Toronto falls to 1-5.
