Stingers Win with Late Heroics
|
Despite a great performance by MSL Colorado right fielder Hyun-hi Kwon, the MSL Toledo Stingers defeated the Billy Goats by the score of 7-6 in 11 innings at MSL Toledo Ballpark. Kwon was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. MSL Toledo reliever Dionigi Sabre picked up the win to move to 1-0. Arnaldo Ochoa suffered the loss. The win puts MSL Toledo at 4-4.
The Stingers relied on right fielder Carlos Santos for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
In postgame remarks, Santos simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
