The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids picked up a win at MSL Seattle Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 8-2. Starting pitcher Carlos González played a key role in the triumph. González got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The win takes MSL Northern Virginia to 6-3.

MSL Northern Virginia used a clutch at-bat from Diego Báez to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
