The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids picked up a win at MSL Seattle Ballpark, dropping the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 8-3. Ian Barnes was the difference-maker. The win gives MSL Northern Virginia a record of 3-6.

In the top of the fifth, MSL Northern Virginia first baseman Keith Henley had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Henley stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 4-2, MSL Northern Virginia. For the game, he was 1-5.

"Ian was throwing with conviction," said MSL Northern Virginia manager Leslie Brooks.
