MSL Toledo pitcher José Rodríguez did his part in helping his team beat the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. With the win, MSL Toledo boosts its record to 5-4.
Alistair Hondo's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 0-0. The MSL Toledo designated hitter hit a run-scoring single off Diego Trevino to put the Stingers up.
"Nice win for us," said Hondo. "Now we'll go after the next one."
