The performance of Si-on Yi proved critical in helping MSL Boston beat MSL Memphis, 5-4. The Patriots center fielder was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Carlos Rivera snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Félix Meléndez suffered the loss. Domingo Soto collected save number 2.

Yi came through for MSL Boston with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. He hit a 2-1 fastball to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Yi told the MSL Boston Herald. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

With the loss, MSL Memphis is 3-6.
