Stingers Fall to Rainbow Mermaids, 6-3

The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids locked up a win at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Toledo Stingers, 6-3. On the mound for MSL Northern Virginia was right-hander Mitch Brooks. He played a major role in the triumph. The Rainbow Mermaids improved their record to 7-4 by beating MSL Toledo.
The Rainbow Mermaids had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 6-3, MSL Northern Virginia, with one out. MSL Toledo, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Juan Alicea dug in at the plate, but on a 2-1 splitter, he flied out.
