Patriots Hold Off Billy Goats, 3-2

Fans saw a dandy of a game between the MSL Boston Patriots and MSL Colorado Billy Goats.
MSL Colorado got a decent performance from pitcher Miguel Quintana, but it wasn't enough to beat the MSL Boston Patriots. MSL Boston won the MSL Colorado Ballpark contest, 3-2. Quintana threw 8.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Tomás Erdozain was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Randy Hood earned the save for MSL Boston, his 2nd.
Bob Baird had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for MSL Boston. He came through with a run-scoring single to put MSL Boston in front, 3-0.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Baird.
The Patriots now have a record of 5-6 with the win over MSL Colorado.
