The MSL New Orleans Voodoo thumped the MSL St. Louis Coeur, 9-1, at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. Tony Taylor was a big reason his team got the win. Taylor went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The save went to Javier Nevárez, his 1st this season. The second-place Voodoo have won 4 in a row.

Bill Matthews hit a 3-run home run off Neil Rosbotham in the bottom of the first, which put the Voodoo ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Matthews had 1 double, while going 2 for 5.
