Both teams had their chances, but the MSL Boston Patriots eventually prevailed.

The MSL Baltimore Bullets got a superb performance from pitcher David Hughes. Still, it wasn't enough to beat MSL Boston. The Patriots won the game, 2-1. Hughes threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. With the win, MSL Boston has a record of 8-4. MSL Baltimore falls to 7-5.

Had Vincent O'Neil not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, O'Neil hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Patriots.

O'Neil offered a curt "no comment" when asked to discuss the win after the game.
