Sulley Stars in 7-2 Rainbow Mermaids Win
MSL Northern Virginia and MSL Detroit got after it at MSL Detroit Ballpark.

The 7-2 MSL Northern Virginia win over MSL Detroit was due largely to Gerard Sulley. The Rainbow Mermaids first baseman was 3-3 with a home run, 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The save was credited to Marcos Rodríguez, his 1st.

MSL Northern Virginia used the hitting of António Lópes to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 4-1. For the game, Lópes had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Lópes told a MSL Northern Virginia Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
