MSL Hollywood Ballpark was the site for USPL Mexican Summer League action featuring the MSL Hollywood Shredders and MSL Seattle Rocketeers.

Rod Palmer never let MSL Hollywood get something going. The MSL Seattle right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Rocketeers to a 4-1 win. Palmer got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.

MSL Seattle used the timely hitting of Kalevi Valkki to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Said losing manager Ricardo López: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."

The 4th-place Rocketeers hiked their record to 9-5.
