Starting pitcher Héctor Chavarría pitched well enough to help the MSL Philadelphia Liberty beat the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 4-3. Luis Alarcon earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The third-place Liberty have a record of 9-6.

In the bottom of the sixth, MSL Philadelphia third baseman Seung Pan gave his team the lead. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Clam hit his 2nd home run of the year. MSL Pittsburgh pitcher Alfredo Ramos surrendered it. With that, the Liberty jumped in front, 4-3.

"Héctor had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said MSL Philadelphia manager Armando Ortíz.
